Hello dear, basic math for kids freeware can be really difficult if your concepts are not clear. I know this tool , Algebrator which has helped many newbies build their concepts. I have used this software a couple of times when I was in college and I recommend it to every beginner.

Algebrator is very useful, but please never use it for copy pasting solutions. Use it as a guide to understand and clear your concepts only.

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Intermediate algebra, Algebra 2 and Algebra 2. It is a really a great piece of math software. I remember of going through difficulties with ratios, multiplying matrices and evaluating formulas. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook , click on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework. I highly recommend the program.
