It always feels nice when I hear that students are willing to put that extra punch into their studies. difference between evaluation and simplification of an expression? is not a very complex topic and you can easily do some initial preparation yourself. As a helping tool, I would advise that you get a copy of Algebrator. This product is quite handy when doing math yourself.

Hey there! I tried Algebrator last year when I was having problems with my college math. This software made solving equations so easy. Since then, I always keep a copy of it on my laptop.

You can download this program from https://www-mathtutor.com/simplifying-complex-fractions.html. There are some demos available to see if it is what you are looking for and if you are interested , you can get a licensed version for a nominal amount.
